Piero Corte graduated with a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa in 1989. He is an IT consultant at CyberEthics Lab., where he applies his skills as a Software Designer and Software Engineer. In 1990 he joined the Research and Innovation Department of Engineering Spa as a researcher, dealing with Software Engineering issues in several national and European research projects (GoodSteps, Tudor, IB, NEXOF, FIWARE, C-CUBE, SUMMIT). He was responsible for a research team within Engineering's R&I department, engaged in the development of technologies for Cloud & Edge Computing, Cloud Application Modernisation, IoT platforms and Digital Twins. His main research interests include Software Engineering, software systems design, data modelling and ontologies, and human-computer interaction.
