This project introduces a comprehensive Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) platform, specifically designed to support law enforcement agencies in managing threats posed by military-grade unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The solution consists of four key elements: a sophisticated anti-drone arsenal, an advanced online intelligence engine, an integrated management platform, and a specialized training program. What makes PRESERVE unique is its ability to detect, track, and respond to multiple drones simultaneously, while ensuring compliance with EU regulations and privacy standards.
CyberEthics Lab. ensures ethical governance throughout the entire research and innovation process. Our expertise guides the development of ethical and regulatory requirements in line with current standards and societal values. Furthermore, CEL will lead the analysis of policy needs in the C-UAS domain, working closely with stakeholders to develop comprehensive policy recommendations that will shape the future of drone threat management in Europe.
Developed by a consortium of police authorities, research institutions, and industry experts, PRESERVE represents a significant step forward in protecting public spaces. Through its combination of AI-powered detection, real-time threat assessment, and coordinated response capabilities, the project aims to set new standards in public security while maintaining the delicate balance between safety, privacy, and ethical considerations.
